Install BuzzRelay
Run the installer and follow the wizard — no administrator rights are needed. On the very first launch BuzzRelay downloads the Chromium browser it uses to drive WhatsApp Web, about 200 MB, which takes one to three minutes and needs an internet connection. That happens once; every later start goes straight to the app. The licence screen appears when the download finishes.
Before you start
Check System requirements. In short: Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, 2 GB free disk space, and a working internet connection for the first launch.
Installing
- Double-click the BuzzRelay installer you downloaded. Administrator rights are not required.
- Follow the wizard. Accept the default install location or choose your own.
- Click Finish. BuzzRelay launches automatically.
Windows SmartScreen may appear on the first run of a newly downloaded installer. Choose More info then Run anyway. This is normal for independently distributed Windows software — see Antivirus or SmartScreen is blocking BuzzRelay.
The first launch takes a few minutes
On the very first start, BuzzRelay downloads the Chromium browser it uses to drive WhatsApp Web — roughly 200 MB. The splash screen shows progress. Expect one to three minutes depending on your connection.
Do not close the splash screen during the download. If it is interrupted, the next launch restarts the download. If it fails repeatedly, an antivirus or a corporate firewall is usually blocking it.
This is a one-time step. Every later launch goes straight through to the licence screen or the main window.
What happens next
Once the browser is in place, the licence screen appears. Continue with Activate your license.

Your data lives separately from the program files, which is why updating does not touch your contacts or campaign history. See Where BuzzRelay stores your data.
Updating
BuzzRelay checks for updates and tells you when one is available. Installing a new version over an existing one keeps your database, devices and settings — you will not need to scan QR codes again or re-import contacts.
Close BuzzRelay before installing an update, and stop any running campaign first. Updating while a campaign is sending will interrupt it mid-run, and recipients already messaged will not be messaged again but the campaign will need restarting.
Uninstalling
Uninstall through Windows Settings → Apps like any other program. That removes the application but leaves your data in %APPDATA%\BuzzRelay\, so reinstalling picks up where you left off.
To remove everything, delete that folder after uninstalling. Back it up first if there is any chance you will want the contacts or campaign history again — there is no copy anywhere else.

Do I need administrator rights to install BuzzRelay?
