System requirements
BuzzRelay needs Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), 4 GB of RAM minimum with 8 GB recommended if you run several devices, 2 GB of free disk space, an internet connection, and an active WhatsApp account on a smartphone. It does not run on macOS or Linux. RAM is the practical limit on how many devices you can run at once, because each one is a separate browser session.

Why 2 GB of disk space
The application itself is small. Most of the space goes to the Chromium browser BuzzRelay downloads on first launch, roughly 200 MB, plus a browser profile per connected device. The local database holding your contacts and campaign history adds only a few megabytes unless your list is very large.
How RAM limits concurrent devices
Every connected device runs its own browser session. That is what keeps accounts isolated, and it is also the main thing consuming memory.

The phone matters too
WhatsApp Web depends on the paired phone. Each connected device needs its own number and its own phone with WhatsApp installed, and that phone must come online periodically or the session expires and you will be asked to scan the QR code again.
The phone does not need to be next to the computer, and it does not need to stay online every second. But a phone that is off for days will drop the session.
Not supported
- macOS and Linux — BuzzRelay ships as a Windows executable, and there is no build for other platforms.
- Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 — the bundled browser no longer supports them.
- 32-bit Windows — 64-bit only.
Windows VPS and Remote Desktop
BuzzRelay runs on a Windows VPS, which is a common setup for people who want campaigns to continue without leaving a desktop machine on. Give it dedicated RAM in line with the table above. Because BuzzRelay ships with its own Chromium rather than depending on an installed browser, a bare server image is fine.
Running over Remote Desktop works. Be aware that the browser sessions keep running when you disconnect the RDP session, which is usually what you want.
Antivirus
BuzzRelay launches browser processes and automates them, a pattern some security software treats as suspicious. If the app will not start or the browser download fails, add the BuzzRelay installation folder to your antivirus exclusions — see Antivirus or SmartScreen is blocking BuzzRelay.
